Program Overview

The challenges facing healthcare providers today are many and varied. From workforce shortages to staff burnout to making healthcare more affordable to patients, the role of the chief medical officer has expanded beyond patient safety and medical care. Today, the chief medical officer must also be adept at navigating the business and administrative sides of healthcare.

The nine-month Chief Medical Officer Program from the University of California, Irvine Leadership Development Institute is designed to give experienced healthcare professionals like you an opportunity to advance into a C-suite role that encompasses patient care and business decisions for your organization’s unique challenges.

The Chief Medical Officer Program is ideal for:

Participants are required to have:

  • A medical degree from an accredited medical school
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
